Sharan has spent nearly 30 years in the HPC arena. He has degrees in Mechanical Engineering as well as Computer Science. He has experience in IT architecture, systems deployment, software development, OS maintenance, device driver writing and networking, several engineering, technical & scientific applications, compilers and libraries. Sharan has worked with several other computing vendors such as Cray Research and Silicon Graphics Inc (SGI). He has also worked in implementing diverse applications of HPC at several large and global HPC sites such as General Motors (GM) and KAUST. Sharan is a member of IEEE/Computer Society, USENIX, Society of HPC Professionals, Sigma Xi and the ACM.
